Yes, it's clearly inspired by the attitude and content usually associated with Suicide Girls, but not any one "Girl."

This one is essentially a calculated effort to push every boundary I can as an artist from the pose and anatomy to full frontal nudity sans specific references. The only portions of the drawing that /were/ referenced specifically were some of the elements of the tattoos, especially the ones on her legs, which are reproductions of specific Japanese prints.

This piece is dedicated to Karla for helping/pushing me in my art constantly for the last two years. The strong outline around the figure is a specific homage to her style. :p

mini tech advice - i don't know what you use to ink, but try a thinner pen. it'll take a lot of getting used to, but you can switch back and forth between the thicker lines and thinner ones. thinner pens will give you shakier lines, and since i've got the shakes really bad i can't use them but you would probably do well with them. especially for the tattoos. try some tracing exercises to practice with inking lines so you don't get line seams when you lift your pen and set it back down. that aside

i fucking love it. i really do. lol. the anatomy is great, i love her torso ( not just because i love boobs... -- ) and her belt, the tattoos are really nice, though i see the waves and think there should be fishies or a mermaid or something to make that part look more finished. it really is fantastic, though. you did a good job pushing yourself.

The outer lines were done with a prisma marker and the inner stuff was done with some brush pens that I thought I should be able to get more fine control with, but not so much I suppose. One of the problems though is the paper I've been using, the marker tends to bleed and fuzz although you probably can't see it at this resolution. I've started working with "marker paper" since doing this one and it's getting me better results that way. I might even go back to speedball for a while.

Thanks for the feedback, it's very appreciated.

All the problems make me want to go, like a bad girl, straight to video.
